I'm going to be a part of the film editing team and I am an amateur, help!?

Okay, so I am a college freshman. When I heard about our school's film making team, I decided to join the team's editing crew. I am just getting a bit nervous 'cause when I was interviewed by the club's adviser, I found out that the film editors' job is one of the hardest, since most of the movie's outcome lies on their hands. I don't have much experience in editing films, I just edit some clips and stuff but films? No. I guess I only have a month left for learning and I think that's kind of a short period to be good at video editing because its scope is so broad. Our adviser told me that the head editor will teach me stuff and help me become better but I don't want to be a freeloader in the team, I want to help a lot, I don't want to cause troubles or delays regarding the production and whatsoever. I am also willing to give my 100% effort for this. Could you please help me? What tips can you give? I am using Sony Vegas Pro 9 for editing.

What do you think of this sibling set? 1 boy 3 girls..?

I would prefer Ryan over Rylan but the ne still sounds adorable. These 4 go together perfectly and they're all really cute! I especially love the name Ella Madeline! It's so beautiful!! :]

If you leave your child alone (under 16) how far can you go?

Depends on the age of the kid. In the McCann's case, the child was only 4 and should not have been left at all - least of all with two other kids even younger than she was. By the age of 8 I'd leave my child to quickly go and get a pint of milk or similar. By the age of 12, my child could get herself to school and back and be left for an hour or so if I was not able to be at home. By the age of 14, I would consider myself a bad parent if my child did not have the ability and common sense to be left home alone for a day. Lets face it, 60 years ago this was the school leaving age and kids went out to work at this age. If you can't leave your kid at that age you have molly coddled them and not done them any favours.

Help with statistics!?

It's linear, but not a strong linear relationship. I would estimate the linear correlation coefficient to be about 0.8, which means that a linear regression to the data would explain about 64% of the variation in the data.

Corporate Tax vs Personal Tax?

In the USA Corporate taxes are the income taxes a business (that is organized as a corporation) pays, Personal Taxes are the income taxes an individual pays. These taxes are imposed by the federal government, and many (but not all) state governments. This money (income taxes) is used to run the federal and state governments and their social programs. As European countries have more social programs then the USA, they need higher taxes to pay for them.

Psychology thesis ideas?

So I need a topic/thesis statement for my senior thesis. It needs to be broad enough ( 40 pages ) but still be narrow enough that I can defend it; I also don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I want to do it on something related to psychology. I don't have many ideas. I am pretty much interested in many branches which presents a problem cause I can't decide. But I am more interested in clinical, counseling, and abnormal psychology. Sooo any ideas? Doesn't have to fit those categorys. thanks :)
